Cydia Help - Phone wont startup!! help!! ActivateMMS2.0 -

Okay so today im on cydia, and i was looking around at the aviable package upgrades, and i came across somethinf call activateMMS2.0 and i installed it by mistake, and my phone rebooted. now its stuck on the boot screen and it keeps restarting!

it doesn't show the springboard, its been on the apple boot logo screen for about an hour now.. what can i do!? i don't have my phone backed up so i cant restore it!

i have the 2.2.1 software, and a modem firmware of 02.30 and its unlocked/jailbroken, with a tmobile sim card

can anyone help me fix this issue please!

You as many have had issues installing this app. Only thing to do is put your phone in DFU mode and restore as "New" phone. then J/B again. With the firmware you have I would say you have a 3G, app was for the 2G.

Oh, here are directions for DFU in case you need them.

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.

Alternative Method:
Step 1. Connect iPhone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.
Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.
Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button

okay thanks, but i have the 2.2.1 and im not sure if im ready for the inlocking of the .30 software yet, what can i do to preserve the 2.2.1 firmware? im also using a rebelSIM adapter to be able to unlock the 02.30 modem firmware

if i put the 3.0 on it im not goning to be able to put my tmobile sim in it.

Sure, just don't update iTunes and you'll be fine. Make sure you set it up as a new phone, not restore from back up. That will cause the same problems to return.

are you sure there arent any other alternatives to getting my phone working now, like without having to restore it?

i don't have anything backed up, no contacts or nothing, and all my apps will be gone! and i would have to input all my cydia sources by hand and download everything again


btw is there anything app or anything ut there that could improve reception or anything like that??

Nope, with no back up you'll have to start over since the file system has been corrupted, sorry.
This new OS and J/B may also help in your reception problem.Good luck.

It's already out. I have it on my 3G phone now. Called ultrasn0w. After upgrade and J/B you download it from Cydia.

hey please help me i had the same f****ing problem..i cant reboot my iphone and even tha usb thing didnt work i took ut my sim and still nothing..

well it worked finally i couldnt do the DFU mode but luckily everything is alright
