EDIT: might be a stupid question but, where did it save for you? i checked what i had set as my default downloads folder and there isn't anything in there that wasn't there before...

^^^ You just have to paste the code into the textbox at the bottom of the page and hit enter. You might not notice it right away that's probably why haha

When I go to purplera1n.com I can't even see the "box" at the bottom of the page.... It's all black. Only way I knew it was there was from Davelasoul's post. I'm getting my 3gs tmr at 0900 and was dreading not having it JB'd, this is very good news! Thanks to the smart guys who figure this crap out.

In Windows, using Firefox, got everything to work - thanks!

The purplera1n.com site has a very subtle blinking spot below the picture of the guy in the rain - I just pasted in the ECID there and hit enter, and got a file to download: purplera1nyday_'my16digituniquecode'

In IE8 or in Maxthon, there is no clue where to input the ECID, but if you click around under the picture, the mouse pointer changes to a text insert marker - paste in the ECID there, and hit Enter.

Ok for a little help with getting your ECID with usb view i will try to explain how to do it since alot of people are having trouble and there wasnt very clear directions...

first hold the home button and connect your iphone to your pc to put it into recovery mode...

1) WAIT until it installs the drivers and says its installed and ready to go...

2) open usb view and look for -
DeviceConnected: Apple Recovery (iBoot) USB Driver

3) Click options then "config descriptors"

4) Click file then Refresh and click on -
DeviceConnected: Apple Recovery (iBoot) USB Driver again

5) Copy the ECID number and go to http://purplera1n.com/
below the image there is a hidden box to put the number into then hit enter and save the file that it gives you for later use....

All Done... hope that helps
