    Default Questions before Upgrading

    I currently have an original iphone, but am thinking of upgrading to an iphone 3g. I have some questions before I buy one, however. Any help/info anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

    1. I'm pretty sure this is possible, but can a 3g be unlocked for use with other carriers?

    2. Will the new 3.0 OS work on an unlocked 3g phone? I'm curious about the MMS capabilities, mostly. Or, do I have to stay with the lower OS?

    I just want to make sure everything is going to work smoothly before I go and purchase a 3g phone. Also, is ebay the best place to buy one? Just curious what you think.

    Wait until FW3.0 comes out.
    At the moment only BB 2.28 can be unlocked, this might change in the near future.
