iphone 3g 3.0 beta 3 jailbrake issue!!!

so im following the steps on how to jailbrake 3.0beta3 on windows from the modmyi website.
i follow the insructions step-by-step, install 3.0beta3 to the iphone.
i get to the part where Quickpwn must browse for the ipsw file.
i click on the file, then Quickpwn gives me this error:

"The IPSW file you selected does not match any firmware version QickPwn supports. Either the IPSW file is corrupt, or the firmware verison is supported"

i have the right version of quickpwn that suports beta2 and beta3 for 3.0.
i downloaded the IPSW file from this website: http://imodzone.net/download/index.php

So can you guys help me out. Cause now my iphone is stuck at the activation screen with a purple background.

I dont know what to do and i dont want to downgrade back to 2.2.1

are you registered with a dev account?

try downloading another copy of the firmware...

I'm assuming you are not on a dev account since you should of restored in itunes to beta3 and been up and running before the jailbreak.

I have to leave for work but ill check back on my phone to see if you have more problems

Do you have the correct firmware for your generation of iPhone? the firmware are different for 2G and 3G iPhones,
