I used pwnage tool on 3.1 then went to restore using itunes9, I got error 1600 and tried a couple times each time getting an error 1600 or 1601.

Now the phone is still in dfu I think but none of my computers are even recognizing it when I plug in anymore!

How can I get it out of DFU or at least get it showing up in itunes again. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hold down home+power.
Try restoring it OUT of DFU mode.

ok i may have not seen this when i searched but here goes. I upgraded my 2G from 2.2 to 3.0 and now since i don't have iphone package i can not access internet or mms or anything other than text. I have unlimited data but i know this is att way to get me to get iphone plan. Please help or direct me in the way to bypass having to get package also how to get mms activated. Phone is jb & unlocked

thanks i did the apn unlockit and it worked for the data now does anyone have a way to enable my mms? i have tried swirly and i have to constantly trick the system by putting it in razor then put back in iphone and get my messages quickly. any better soloution? 2G phone running 3.o firmware

how do i go in and change the cellular data settings

In Cydia there is an app called activateMMS2G
I've never tried it as I don't have a 2G.

Hey guys I have a 3gs iphone 32gb. I want to know the following.

1. I have a only unlocked iphone 3gs via Ultrasnow.
2. I also have NOT upgraded to 3.1!
3. If I need to restore because I iphone 3gs freezed on me yesterday can I restore to 3.0.1 again and jailbreak and ultrasnow. Or does itunes block that right away. What can I do please. StealthBravo where have you been I have even emailed you dude. Please help me.

I think so because it says cydia has it on file. But I dont know what to do. Also theses 3gs are a pain in the butt.

Well if Cydia has it on file then you can follow one of those guides to restoring to 3.0. Just make sure what ever you do you do not upgrade to 3.1 because it will upgrade your baseband

Stealth, 2 questions.

1. Is your carrier file in the first post the updated 6.0 AT&T file that re-enables tethering?

2. How come the new carrier update file (official or otherwise) changes the keyboard when creating a new SMS from the phone dial pad (when you need to enter a phone number to send the message to) to the regular keyboard with the numbers on top of the symbols?
