Did you update your carrier settings? Are you on 3.0 or 3.1? 3.1 messes with it.

Question about icon labels & Supreme Preferences
Over the last week I noticed two changes to my JB iPhone 3G. I can not hide the icon labels. This coincided with me uploading a theme via CyberDuck (Cronic). But I did not touch any of the other folders or files.
Also there is a Supreme Preferences option under Settings. Does the Blue Thunder theme provide this option? I changed my theme to Blue Thunder this evening and now that option appears. It's actually cool but some of the options don't work (Hide icon labels, change # of app buttons in the Dock).
It's not a huge deal if I can't remove the icon labels. But it take up less space without them. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.
I have JB my 3G on 3.1. However after installing things from Cydia (apps, winterboard) I keep getting the sad iPhone face. Everytime I reboot it still comes back in Safe Mode.
Has anyone else experienced this? I read about issues with 3.1 prior to my JB & hope it has something to do with it. Can I SSH & make some changes? I will probably revert back to 3.0 in hopes the JB is made more stable or Apple fixes 3.1. Thanks for your inputLast edited by griff1211; 09-16-2009 at 01:00 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

People have reported problems with Winterboard on 3.1
Neither Angie nor myself had tested it. Every other app we downloaded from cydia works without a hitch just neither of us use winterboard! He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

I don't want to test it. LOL.
Sounds like the problem I was having with pkgbackup.. but I'm 100% sure pkgbackup did not backup winterboard...I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

I probably should have stayed away until later today after others tried installing it. I'm going to make another custom file and see what happens. There are some on-line but who knows if they work or if they are safe.
I use WB the most because I don't like the blah, boring set up that is default. It was great on 3.0. Just may have to go back to it. Thanks!

I got mine from a link online (I'm a PC-only user)... Only I trust MY source 100%
I mean.. if you can't trust him.. I don't know who you could trust for a jailbreak...
I don't think it's boring.. it looks nice.I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

The default set up is great. It's boring in a sense that you can't change the background, font, icons, etc. I suppose you can via SSH. But I'm not well-versed with changing files or uploading files to replace the default settings. I use CyberDuck and can upload/download from my phone. If there is a way, then using theming may not be that important to me.

Reinstalled the .ipcc file from your OP after I heard some people had MMS working (and it works for me now too)...however I lost the ability to receive visual voicemails (or any voicemail notifications at all, for that matter), unless I reboot my phone...in which case a message will pop up saying how many I have, but none of them are in the visual voicemail tab and I have to call the voicemail number manually...any suggestions?
