Firmware 3.0 All Inclusive Jailbroken Awesomeness!

I tried both ways with activate I was able to use test phone like an iPod, when I didn't click activate I was unable to get it to activate in itunes even after i tried iUtilities.

I did the same thing, and I eventually got it to work.

I did:
1- Did an upgrade to 3.0 b2 iTunes
2- Ran QuickPwn, and left activate checked (this was my mistake)
3- Noticed that I couldn't get a signal
4- Ran QuickPwn again, and unchecked 'activate'
5- Still couldn't get a signal
6- Did a restore to 3.0 b2 in iTunes
7- Ran QuickPwn and unchecked 'activate'
8- Used iUtilities to change the string and get iTunes to activate
9- Was happy

It sounds to me like you did up to step 5 about the same as I did. The important thing here is that if you have activated with QuickPwn that it requires a restore to get back to a fresh state.

I run a 64 bit system and could not get iutilities to work but I founf a different way around it.

I like 3.0, my music messes up sometimes though. It makes my music fast forward by itself and so I respring, then it works fine. But o well, at least its nothing big.
I miss SBSettings the most and Intelliscreen.

to get 3D WOLF to work i had to add a (Documents) folder to Var/Mobile.

Can someone share with me the lockdownd file from a working youtube on 3.0 beta 2 2g? The file is located on /usr/libexec. It suppose to be 612kb. Thanks

Same thing I do. But it sucks when your looking for something that you know is normally available through youtube, but can't find it through Mxtube. Still a great app though.

Question...
Previously I jailbroke my iphone 2g using the unofficial quickpwn for 3.0 beta 2, I no longer have access to that computer or any windows machine at all. So....I've been looking into how to make mac quickpwn work with 3.0. I've got the 3.0 bundles as well as a few others things from the unofficial windows quickpwn. Any idea what I should do next?

We have been playing with it. None of our apps we anticipate will take advantage of it but we are playing with some test apps that do use it. Its pretty cool.

Yea. Our testing and playing with it was simple snowball fight app back and forth.


I open the app and my friend does. I can throw a snowball at him. He gets notified that I hit him and can hit someone else. Stupid but shows the concept.

Has anyone else noticed that it seems that a lot of the Beta 1 Bugs returned after Jailbreaking Beta 2. I may be wrong, it may just be that after having issues with Beta 1 and then upgrading to Beta 2 and it seemed like all the bugs were gone. Now after jailbreaking I have been noticing quite a few bugs again. May just be that I am getting used to Beta 2 now.

Keyboard has a 1-3 second delay after typing the first Key
Keyboard missing a lot of graphics in Safari sometimes.
Overall the phone just seems to have gotton a lot slower almost like the screen sensitivity has changed. There is times that my iPhone is reminding me of My Tilt as far as touch sensitivity, Touch the screen and wait a second for it to respond.
