...seems openssh client may need updating.. at least when i use Putty. I'm trying some other programs now. alpine is the right password -- but after input I get this:

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _login

you have to install "Core Utilites" To make SSH work correctly.

1. Shift + Restore for the 3.0 firmware beta 2
2. Run QuickPWN 030-2
3. Choose:

iPhone 2G - Jailbreak, Activate
iPhone 3G to register UUID - Jailbreak
iPhone 3G without UUID - Jailbreak

4. Follow onscreen instructions
5. Enjoy jailbroken 3.0 beta 2

Don't "Activate" if on AT&T
If you're phone is registered with the dev program, dont chose activate if using quickpwn 030-2. It leaves your phone without a connection. I restored and tried again with only "jailbreak" selected and it worked fine. =]

Ahh Icy wasn't updating properly. Cydia is installed but not functional for me

Anyone have any ideas?

I think you are still ahead of everyone right now. We need more people jailbreaking so we can get this sorted out. What is cydia doing?

Same as installer, it just crashes (clarification: screen shows top blue bar and black background, for about 2 seconds and then crashes into springboard). I thought from reading the main post that someone had cydia functional.. or do they just mean cydia apps installed from icy?

I know for sure the apps i posted work when installed from icy. I heard cydia works but I am still waiting on confirmation.

Ok here we go... I installed Sysinfo Plus... shows 32 whole MB free on the system partition... that's after installing Cydia and Installer. Yuck.

Categories seems to be working correctly -- needs more testing though.

I don't know if this has been found yet but there is now a hidden Nike app I found with categories.
