We're going to need some kind of BSD subsystem in place to change the passwords. You can't just dump in the passwd program file to usr/bin and have it work. At least it didn't work for me. It's reliant on other things.

With 3.0 I get " This accessory is not supported by iphone " . Any ideas how fix this ? If not I'm going back to 2.1 , because 3.0 hasn't anything I need (except search)...

edit: i found it.. but now when trying to install cydia. i get this error
"Package Berkeley DB cannot be installed. (DPKG returned error #2) more information can probably be found in the console log."

any help?

passwd is in the system-cmds package, one installed you can change your password

Agreed, i've manually installed the updates for ssh and ssl because icy simply won't find them when updating repos.

They do at least show up in the package management window as being updated.

FYI everyone - I jailbroke perfectly fine, no problems, first try in Parallels VM. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about not being able to do it in a VM.

anyone test with bitesms in 3.0 beta 2 ?
and is there any way to upload sms.db in 2.2.1 to 3.0 beta 2 when doing a restore not upgrade ? I've tried to replace the db but it didnt work,that's y have to downgrade back to 2.2.1.
Heard that 3.0 beta 2 is kinda stable, wanna use it instead of 2.2.1
