I think you'll have better luck with this:
There are a few issues running this way, but it is way better than nothing. Basically you don't get terminal emulation. The side effects of this include:Code:ssh root@iphone ssh -i
- You can't run any curses apps, like vi etc
- If you run passwd to change your password (please change your password) your password will be printed when you type the new one
- If you hit control-c to try and kill a program you will actually kill your ssh session instead
Once you do get logged in you should probably run the following:
From then on you can ssh to your phone using:Code:# Change root's password - You'll be asked for a new password passwd root # Change mobile's password as well passwd mobile # Add mobile to sudoers echo -en "\n\nmobile ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL\n" >> /etc/sudoers visudo -c
If you need to run something as root simply type "sudo" in front of it.Code:ssh mobile@iphone bash -i

) I don't think anyones talked about it yet... And it doesn't seem to be working for me. Anyone else give it a go yet?

I am very surprised that anyone would want winterboard right now, with the little bit of free ram, I would think that winterboard would make it almost unusable.
I just wish SBsettings worked, or that I knew how I could make it work...
also anyone know how to manually install bin files through ssh now? I got a working ssh terminal but I just keep getting errors when I try to install anything...

i will post the commands to move your fonts over to the media partition. that will gain you 87 mb right there.

mkdir /private/var/stash/Fonts
cp -Rv /System/Library/Fonts/* /private/var/stash/Fonts/
mv /System/Library/Fonts /System/Library/Fontsold
ln -s /private/var/stash/Fonts /System/Library/Fonts
if everything works fine after this then:
delete the fontsold dir
good luck

Okay, I have re-jailbroken, and now I can't get poof to launch. Hangs at Enumerating apps then crashes. Any fixes?

Good news -- Am running 3.0 and jailbroken; most apps discussed above are working fine; have moved apps and all seems well... except today, app store will not load... it starts to load and immediately closes; everything else is working... anyone have an idea... short of starting all over again?
thanks
