Firmware 3.0 All Inclusive Jailbroken Awesomeness!

Stealth, ok...

I restored 2.2.1 and activated it, upgraded to 3.0, and ran QUICKPWN.

I get the unactivated screen and no service.

I also tried redoing it with the activation CHECKED, and that activated the phone but with no service.

I think I've come a conclusion...

I'm running Windows 7... could that possibly be a problem, should I be doing this on XP or Vista instead?

I told you it is hit and miss without being registered with a dev. There are a lot of people with dev accounts in this community. Search the threads for the guys selling spots for 5 bucks

I got it to work for me last night after several attempts on a xp machine. I registered with a dev this morning as soon as I could.

Currently there is no access to the larger partition of the iPhone so be careful

WTF does that mean? Jailbreak means full read/write to the filesystem and that is what we have.

i don't understand why it is such a big deal for beta firmware to be released to everyone.

5 row springboard works? thats cool I heard that 5 row dock doesnt work. thats weird

The dock still doesnt work, just the springboard. I havent tried Kate yet though. 5 Column doesnt work

Nope, that's what the DEVTEAM is actually trying to figure out now.

Their is only access to the "small part" of the iPhone hard drive for now because the "ramdisk" (hard drive) configuration is different than before.

I'm still confused. The unofficial Quickpwn for 3.0 modifys the ramdisk using the teams previous method for 2.x. And 13GB is more than a small part of the iPhone hard drive (I can access the full disk with pwnage)

PS. How can I get mobileterminal to work? I saw some replies on here that said it worked. And the dev team also is using the same version in their screenshot

Because as its been mentioned time and time before.....it wasnt publicly released so its considered PIRATED. And we dont support that, at all.

you get mobileterminal from adding apt.saurik.com in your icy repos

You can manually move the folders to the bigger partitions but it does take some work.

anyone having any issues connecting to the app store or youtube? I can't connect to the with those two apps. also anyone have a link for mobilesubstrate? when i try to install some apps it says mobilesubstrate is missing

no, mine seem to be working. mobilesubstrate is not supported yet. Thats why we cant have winterboard, backgrounder, etc.

My hypothesis: Windows 7 must be causing problems, or an unknown problem to me. I do agree with the hit and miss theory... seriously.

I will now try on XP and report my findings.

That is incorrect. Mobilesubstrate does work on 3.0. I have successfully installed liveclock, status notifier, and five row springboard all of which depend on mobilesubstrate. Almost all mobilesubstrate apps that saurik makes (Five dock, winterboard, cyntact) are not compatible.

Install it in icy. I can confirm it works 100%. It is just some apps that do not

I moved /Applications/ to /private/var/root/Applications/ then created a sym link. Double checked all permissions, deleted the mobile installation cache, rebooted, and I have nothing on the springboard.

I also still have problems with SSH using putty and Mobile Terminal. Get that one error... I tried installing Core Utils but still nothing.

Gonna try again, and play around with stuff try to get it to work...

I have it installed but it crashes on opening. I also have found out Icy is installing apps the same as Cydia (I thought maybe Icy did not set the correct permissions and was the cause for broken apps)
