man i hate to even ask this here at this point but i have my 3.0 beta 2 jailbreak and all is good except i dont see any sources listed that come with it like community sources etc.. where are you getting these repo's since i haven't used installer since 2G

i need help
im in the UK and im with O2-UK.
when i click jailbreak it installs every thing just fine but doesnt unlock, it stays on the slide for emergency page but jailbreak and activate it unlocks evey thing but i have no network connection.

shall i try again or is it pointless?

so... can anyone help me?

in icy goto add sources>edit>+>choose your repos (mmi for sure), you will also need to add apt.saurik.com as a custom repo

should be good to go after that. check the main post for apps that work and apps that take a ****

you need to register with a dev.

The only way to get around not registering with a dev is to restore to 2.2.1, activate your phone, shift upgrade to 3.0, quickpwn with activate enabled. But this is hit and miss. so pay the 5 bucks and save yourself some time.

Does anyone have any issues connecting to itunes? I'm on 2g but whenever I try to dl something from the app store it says it's invalid.

thank you just wondering because i used to mod Motorolas and sometimes a new firmware would be sticky, i am new to the i phone so i was not sure.

You can add liveclock, and statusnotifier to the cydia apps working. And so does 5 row springboard

Stealth, ok...

I restored 2.2.1 and activated it, upgraded to 3.0, and ran QUICKPWN.

I get the unactivated screen and no service.

I also tried redoing it with the activation CHECKED, and that activated the phone but with no service.

I think I've come a conclusion...

I'm running Windows 7... could that possibly be a problem, should I be doing this on XP or Vista instead?

I'm trying this again as I get your reply.

No you are good because this will not update a 2gs baseband. 3g is another story

5 row springboard works? thats cool I heard that 5 row dock doesnt work. thats weird
