I manually symlinked the apps folder into the large partition and it seems okay.

I am not trying to change your mind. I was much like you before I tried a mac. I dissed mac guys calling them sissies and hippies and all that. It truly is a wonderful machine. The reason it works so well is because it doesn't try to make itself compatible with everything. They design the hardware and software to work well together, and they do.

Just used WinSCP. Renamed the old folder to eliminate access issues while doing it. Then copied files to new location and created the symlink. Double checked permissions on new location. I rebooted before I deleted the old folder so it would be using the new location.
I'm having difficulty with shell access myself, seems like a couple dynamic libs are missing.

I was able to manually move Applications and create a symlink. Albeit I had to copy all the apps to my desktop and then back up to the phone and then fix the permissions.

Did anyone get SSH to work properly?
I got my app working properly after installing find-utilities and tape something package, but cydia itself is still crashing.MacBook:tmp Kim$ ssh 3g

Did anyone get cydia to start? At least apt works so far
Lets see whether I we can get syslog enabled. This would already help a lot.
Guys before you even try to install cydia, move at least the fonts using BossTool.
*edit* also did anyone get mobile terminal working?

I am not trying to diss you personally, I am just callin it like I see it. Your right they do design the hardware and software so they work well together, but the reality is there just isn't that much hardware and software as there is on a PC. So to me the pros outweigh the cons by far when it comes to PC & Windows. Not to mention that everywhere you go you'll find a PC. But very rarely you will find a MAC. PC Dominates by far all day long. I use OSX installed on my Toshiba Laptop but I only use it for PWNAGE purposes. I gotta tell ya everytime I load it up I always get this feeling of EMPTYNESS everytime I think of needing to do something and I research that it can't be done on the MAC, always find myself being thankful for PC & Windows

I'm at work, and haven't had much time to tinker. But it seems like a few libraries need to be copied. I'll try from my 2.21 device to see if they work.
