wow. a whole world of iphone mods. i am in heaven.

however i dont have a map, and i am lost.


what is the best way to jailbreak?
what are the chances i will screw up my phone perminantly
(its a work phone) can i restore back to factory defaults if i need too?

do i even need to jailbreak in order to use the differnt custom themes?



so so confused.

are the some "must read" pdf's or links i should familurize myself with?

any and all helps is greatly appreciated.

Perhaps the Backup/restore to factory defaults is self explanitory. I am heading home to my MAC setup, so i will ahve a look at the guide and have a "dry run" to see if it all makes sense.

which looks like waht i am looking for. however i still have a few questions i havent found answers for, or am not satisfied with the ones i found and could use some clarification.

do i need to "unlock"? i am in Canada on the Rogers network. (if that makes a difference) or can i just jailbreak?

phone specs.
Network = Rogers
Version = 2.2.1(5h11)
carrier = Rogers 2.9
model = MB629C
modem firmware = 02.30.03

(not sure if any of that helps)


how do i backup everything incase this goes south and i need to restore.

i know my way around modding wm5/6 phones but have not attempted my iphone yet for fear it will be screwed and i will have to convince the wife i need to spend another $300 on a new one. =)
