    Default Duplicated Folders In /stash

I recently upgraded to the 2.2 firmware using quickpwn and a custom firmare(to preserve my baseband for future sale of phone).

For one reason or another I wasn't able to ssh into my phone afterwards so I never poked around in the filesystem until a few days ago.

I noticed in my /private/var/stash folder that most of the folders are duplicated as seen in the screenshot.

The folders that do not have the suffix after them are from the 2.2 jailbreak and the others are from the previous break. I can change the symlink to my applications folder and it will load those applications from the previous jailbreak and they run.

How do I clean this up so that it saves me some space on my phone? Do I have to re-jailbreak again? Why did this happen in the first place?

I think I will upgrade to 2.2.1 starting over fresh. Can I copy the applications I want to keep from cydia and ssh them back in after?

Use AptBackup for all cydia apps to backup.
If you need to unlock your phone, use pwnage tool on a mac to preserve your baseband...
