NO WIFI (Greyed out) Need help???

I have just jailbroken/unlocked my friends AT&T phone using quicksnow. I used quick snow so that I could get the yellowsnow onto the phone to unlock as before my WIFI would not work..

Now the WIFI still won't work it is greyed out. I have found a fix online for the first generation iPhone Wifi Fixer [iPhone Dev Team] however this is a 3G iPhone so I don't think it is going to work.

Is there a way I can get the WIFI back? I have been around in circles with upgrading downgrading with quickpwn and pwnage etc.

I have windows and mac computers so any solution I can try.

Had the same problem with my 3G iPhone , i did a full restore on my mac. i would use pwnage tool and create a new ipsw for 2.2.1 once thats done go through cydia to download yellowsn0w and hopefully that should sort the problem out.

Can you provide me with some details?

What do you mean by "full" restore?

-So you held down the 'option' key and clicked the 'restore' button and loaded 2.2 (stand firmware) with itunes? (Did your WIFI work after this?)
-Then made a custom firmware 2.2.1 with pwnage and loaded that with itunes and your wifi was ok to then download yellowsnow through cydia for the unlock?
