    Default Error in iTunes

Long story short. I'm on a Mac, 10.5.6. When I jb'd my 3g 2.2.1, it wouldn't go into dfu mode. Then I learned about the hub work around and no problems. Then I read about iClarifieds download to fix it. I did this and THEN read it is a bad idea. When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it offers an update to carrier settings. I click ok and it reads an error message. My iphone still syncs though. Is all this related and is it a problem? I redownloaded 10.5.6 and still same problem....sorry, that was long.
