HELP JBing 2.2.1 on Mac 10.5.6 (and I'm using usb hub)
Man this is driving me nuts. I just had a replacement sent out today and I updated it right to 2.2.1. Great. So I hook up my crappy cheapo usb hub and get ready to JB via quickpwn 2.2.5. Great. I get to the last step, screen stays white and never gets through the last process. UGHHH. I've restored the device 3 times already today.
I have been trying all day since 5pm. 6 hours later, I don't know what else to do. Can it be my crappy usb hub? Now when I get to "power off device", the iphone disappears in itunes.
Whoever got there iphone JB'n on OS X 10.5.6...PLEASE HELP
I even tried Pwnage Tool too and FAIL
Can I use my gf's Macbook running 10.5.4? Or do I have to be hooked up to my itunes account? This maybe my last resort, I hope not.
PLEASE HELP...Thanks in advanceWhy do people quote every image just to say thanks?

^Did you run the program for 10.5.6 that re-enables DFU mode? That may be your problem...
I would say your girlfriend's MacBook would be a better choice at this point since the program to re-enable DFU messes with Quicktime and hers is till only on 10.5.4.Respect your elders.

No I didn't bother with the DFU patch. Didn't wanna mess with library/extension at all. Plus I've heard from others that it wasn't the smartest idea. I think I might be going the Macbook route. Let me ask you, do I have to restore my phone first or can I JB with my itunes sync already on the device? Thanks man.
NOOOO it wasn't. Damn, that probably was the reason huh? MY crappy usb hub is just a plug in port version. That's for that tip, it was never mentioned anywhere it needs to be a POWERED version. Thanks man.Why do people quote every image just to say thanks?

Nope, no restore is required first. Just make sure you're backed up in case anything goes wrong! Good luck!
