    Default Lets forget 2.2.1 for a second...Can I take my 3G from 2.1 to 2.2

    I want to forgo 2.2.1 for now. I need to take my 3G to 2.2 for the password interface and a few apps.

    The way I understood it to be is to do a full restore on 2.2, use quickpwn(windows) and then surf and load Yellowsn0w .96.

    Are the steps still there and the same? I have downloaded the 2.2 software to update my wifes 2G. Is it the same for the 3G? I know some have different versions for the 2g vs the 3G.

    yup yup. just follow the instructions for a normal 2.2 install on a 2g and a 3g. you can do the 2.2.1 on the 2g just not the 3g. is that the answer you were looking for?

    Cricket, It was indeed. I went ahead and updated to 2.2 unlocked and JB'd. Thanks given.
