Default Help please, I can't restore

Hey guys, I did some pretty stupid things but I'm hoping that it is possible to restore still.

I have a iPhone 2.2 firmware that i jailbroke. I downloaded the bosspref app to hide my icons. I hid all of my icons because I wasn't thinking, including cydia, and bosspref. After i did this my computer would no longer recognize my iPhone when i plugged it into my computer and would not charge or anything.

So my ssh was still toggled on, so i can ssh onto my iPhone. I went through some guides to show my icons already and i finally got my icons to show again by deleting com.apple.switchboard or something along those lines, but this is where my problem lies, i had already messed with some things on SSH in my iPhone. I used my brother's iPhone to copy and paste his Cydia, Preferences, and Bosspref applications from his iPhone to the computer and then from the computer to my iPhone.

So now when i try to open Cydia, Bosspref, or settings, it will just open flash to a white screen say initializing or something along those lines and then goes right back to the springboard. My computer still does not recognize my iPhone either. I am stuck without an appstore, Cydia does not work, and i cannot access my Settings. I have Installer and SSH on my iPhone if that helps, but i have absolutely no idea how to use installer.

I have tried getting my computer to recognize my iPhone in recovery mode, but it still does not. When i plug my iPhone in my computer has an error cannot recognize usb port message with a bubble that i can click to find the port. When i click to help fix this problem it does not work. My computer does not recognize my iPhone in regular or recovery mode, so i cannot restore it to factory settings.

I'm wondering if there is a way to install from SSH so i can reinstall Cydia and my preferences. Also if you know a way to get my computer to recognize my iPhone that is not put it in recovery mode or through device manager please let me know. Any help to get my iPhone working again would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Go to DFU mode(Turn off your phone, hold Power and Home,as the grey apple logo comes up,release the power button, but keep holding the home button and wait for iTunes to detect your phone in recovery mode).
Your phone screen must be black.
Then restore itunes. After that use quickpwn...

Thanks for the reply, but when i put it in DUF mode it still will not read on the computer or iTunes, is there any other way? Maybe SSH a way to get it to read on the computer or something? I have downloaded a new Cydia and Bossprefs, but my settings is still missing and my computer will still not read my iPhone.

I used my brother's iPhone to make sure i was doing the right thing to put it into DUF mode, but when i did it on my phone the computer would not recognize it still.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know, anything is appreciated.

If the phone isn't recognised it's far more likely that it's in recovery mode and not actually in DFU mode.
