    Default 2.2 Memory Loss....wtf?

So i was jalbroken at 1.1.3 forever...and last night i upgraded to 2.2 and jailbroke it with pwnage...Know my phone says that there is only about 6.1gb of memory on there when there should be 8gb.....whats going on with it? did the jailbreak take up alot of memory or something?

When i jailbroke it i did set my Portioning size to about 1500 instead of 500....could that be it?

Yup. (It's actually flash RAM storage loss instead of memory RAM.)

An 8GB 2G iPhone without jailbreak only has about 7.08GB free with 2.2 FW.

You just subtracted another GB with your partition.

    7.08 - 1 = 6.08

Build a new custom firmware. I'd keep the OS partition around 600MB or so since everything is now stored on the Mobile partition in 2.0+.
