Hi, I have successfully jailbroken my 3G 2.2 but recently some apps have been crashing out often including safari & cydia (probably cos of a few reboots when apps stall the phone) so I now want a restore to the jaibroken 2.2 state and install the wonderful cydia apps (only the ones I use now) again from scratch. My question is, do I just press restore on the iTunes that I used to JB the phone before or would I have to shift-restore it to the original 2.2 first then JB it again? Or has iTunes stored my patched 2.2 firmware and will put that back on a simple Restore button hit?

Second thing is I am wanting to retire my old PC and switch to a Vaio notebook, therefore I'll need to be syncing my 3G with that. So would I have to reset my phone to factory state and JB it again on the Vaio or I can just install iTunes on the Vaio then sync it as a new phone?
