Firmware 2.2
Hey Guys,
I recently got some water damage to my iphone and sent it off to my service provider to be fixed. The guy at the shop said most likely they will be sending me out a brand new iphone... YAY!!
Now the only problem ive got with that is that the new iphone will come out with firmware 2.2.
once ive received it, is it possible to restore it back to firmware 2.1, qwkpwn 2.1, then restore to a customised 2.2 firmware?
Will this remove the updated 2.2 baseband to the 2.1 baseband?
Any helps appreciated.
thanks guys.

Why would you want to do that?

because i always thought that if u unlock the iphone on the 2.2 firmware, it wrecks your chances of unlocking it to use on another network later on.....
thats why i was thinking of going to 2.1, jailbreaking, then loading my customised 2.2 firmware as that way it keeps the older baseband and allows to be unlocked to other networks later on.
