Hi everyone. First post but im sure someone here has encountered this and could maybe help? apologies in advance if these issues have been covered elsewhere (i couldnt find them in the search bit...)

I have an iphone 2g currently running firmware 2.1 that i jailbroke using winpwn. Now that I have moved from PC onto my new macbook pro I was wondering how I can get it to work with my new amazing laptop!

1) When i plug my iphone in it wants to erase and sync to the new iTunes. Will this effect the jailbreak at all or brick my iPhone? Im not really fussed about putting all my music, vids and apps back on and all contacts and calenders have already been synced.

2) Is it worth jailbreaking again using pwnage tool for mac? (If so how can i get it to recognise my iPhone because it doesn't at the moment?)

I basically just want to be able to use my iPhone on my new mac....shouldn't be too hard should it?!
