error 1604??

i got an errorr 1604 when i tried upgrading my 3g from 2.1 to 2.2
im running in vista and im triyn to put in the custom firmware in itunes any help

ive gotten error 5 error 1013 and now 1604 what can you guys recommend me to do plss i need help i need a phone im phoneless my phone is stuck in blank

You have to "trick" Itunes to allow you to use a custom FW file.

1. Use Quickpwn, go through the entire process and after you place the phone in DFU mode and quickpwn actually STARTS....AS SOON AS THE PHONE'S SCREEN TURNS COMPLETELY WHITE....QUIT/CLOSE QUICKPWN IMMEDIATELY.

2. If done right, will leave the screen on the phone completely white.

3. Now, go to Itunes and shift-click to use your custom FW file.

It wont error now.

2.0.2? The newest FW is 2.2....there is a difference.
