HELP: Can't dial out or read text. Contacts lost!

Hey everyone, My iphone is currently on 2.1 firmware right now and it flipped out yesterday. All my contacts have been erased. When I push the phone icon it doesn't load and I can't push any numbers on the keypad. When I try to read new text messages it also doesn't load and closes the screen back to my wallpaper. Everything else works tho, My email, the internet, etc. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks in advanced!

Is you phone Jailbroke, did you install any apps form Cydia or Installer?
