I cant get this 3g 2.1 phone to upgrade to 2.2 and make the baseband goto 2.28 I have tryed restore all kinds of ways including DFU mode I always get error 1016 Anyone got any ideas on how to upgrade this thing...the only firmware it likes is 2.1

EDIT:The firware upgrades to 2.2 even though I get error 1016 but the baseband stays at 2.11

The most possible cause of the above errors is you do not put the iPhone into DFU mode properly...

Well first off let me say I know I got it into DFU mode right.
I habe tried the newest version of Itunes along with version 8.01
I still get error 1016..If I use an older version firmware like 2.01 I get error 1013...Also the wifi is greyed out along with the bluetooth not working...The only firmware that will go all the way through restore is 2.10 but wifi and bluetooth still out and baseband is still 2.11.07

It looks like alot of people are having problems restoring there Iphone 3G..We need a tool that can go in an erase the 2.11 baseband at least so we can restore the phone ) My phone says something isd wrong with the static EEP so it wont restore the firmware and I am stuck because it also has greyed out wifi and bluetooth ( I was able to put swifi on the phone but when I run it all I get is "Killed" so I wasnt able to fix the wifi

Does anyone have an answer to my problem?? I am still stuck at 2.11.07 baseband which is corrupted or something because I always get something about the staticeep being bad..Is there a way to wipe the baseband,downgrade it,or something??
