Default What to do, to jailbreak/unlock from unlocked 2.0.2 to 2.2.0

I have a iphone 2g that I unlocked jailbroke using winpwn 2.5 beta, I used the iclarified instructions. I use itunes 7.6. Currently I have a custom firmware of 2.0.2 running on it. I have heard of to ways to upgrade. Both have you revirginizing to 2.2 software. Then one has you do a winpwn. The other you just Shift click to restore from a custom firmware downloaded from this site.

My main consern is that I can still use an att sim card without having to activate with att. Because that is what I am doing now.

    Thanks.

Also do you think 2.2 firware is safe ie. not buggy.

^Yeah, currently 2.2 is probably the best firmware. So what you can do is restore in iTunes and then use Quickpwn to jailbreak and unlock your new 2.2 firmware.

This guide should be helpful: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1880
