26 Hours and Counting

Hi Everyone

Iphone : 2G
Firmware : Can't Tell
OS : Win Vista
Unlock Apps : Ziphone v3,Iliberty v2,Winpwn
Itunes : 8

I received the phone Yesterday morning (ebay) put in my ATT SIM ,it was in emergency calls/SOS mode when i powered on.(funny thing is it can make and receive calls)
i have been trying since 10am to unlock,activate.I have used
all three apps listed above and the same thing happens.

The app will start no problems then finds iphone no problem but then message says :Booting device into recovery mode .Thats it then i have to restore with itunes etc

I have Tried :
(1) Diff Itune versions
(2) putting it in manual restore
(3) restarting PC
(4) I don't know what Firmware version iTunes restores it to
(5) 3 Diff unlock Apps
(6) Putting into DFU mode
(7) Shouting/Crying/Pleading/Bribes - NADA

At this point forget unlocking etc i just want to get it to work properly.

PS! I did search various boards no solution
Any help will be apreciated.

If you restored with iTunes 8 or higher it would have restored it to 2.2 firmware. Since you are on a windows machine there is only one program you can use to jailbreak and unlock it now. It's called QuickPwn, you can google the iPhone Dev Team an search their site for the latest version.

Thanks for trying to Help, i actually got further with this than
i have before.Everything loaded iphone rebooted but now i have a pineapple icon on my phone. It won't do anything not even recognised by itunes anymore ?

Are you going to be using the ATT network? You may as well just sign up for the iphone plan... they will eventually make you do it anyway.
