Hi all

This is probably a silly question, but as I'm new to all this I'll ask anyway.

Got a 3g on 2.1 and as I'm in the UK, I'm using a sim adapter to unlock it to use a Vodafone SIM.

I started to follow the instructions to jailbreak, but part of that is to upgrade to 2.2 firmware, but I want to keep it on 2.1 so that my SIM adapter will work.

Are these two different things - will the Jailbreak 2.2 leave my iPhone on the 2.1?
