ok I tried searching of course, and came up nothing to what I'm looking for. IDK maybe I'm not typing the right key words in.

I want to jailbrake my 3G iphone to 2.2 without affecting the baseband so I can unlock using yellow snow come new years eve. I know i've seen it on here before, but can't find it now.

Can anyone point me to the steps needed to do this on Windows, not MAC

Sorry, to accomplish this you will need to use the pwnage tool 2.2 on a MAC.

To upgrade your phone to 2.2 and preserve the state of the baseband you need to create a custom .ipsw with PwnageTool. This custom .ipsw will not contain the baseband update.So u ve to buy a mac sorry...

You can download a custom .ipsw and install it using itunes.

i think you can do it if you get a hold of the custom firmware and use itunes to update it.

Ok its not possible to sell a mac 2 u.You can search the site or google for a custom 2.2 FW file already created with NO BASEBAND UPDATE and use that...
