Default iPhone Wifi not detecting any networks

My 1st generation iPhone was on 1.1.4 firmware. The wifi used to work fine, then suddenly it just stopped. I tried resetting the network and the phone several times, nothing worked. Then I spent all of last night updating and jailbreaking to the 2.2 firmware hoping that would do something. But nothing what-so-ever. Even the bluetooth has stopped dectecting other devices and I cannot see my iPhone on my Mac through bluetooth.

    Please help me.

    Thank you and regards.

    Guys,

I have a late-2008 MacBook and it has the DFU problem. So i'll be very grateful if you could tell me fixes for windows.

    Thank You

Try this for your DFU problem... I have seen a report or 2 of it working on the new macs.

iClarified - iPhone - How to Enable DFU Mode in Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Comments)

If A DFU restore doesn't work then it's likely the hardware has failed since you said it just stopped working all of a sudden.

It did stop working all of a sudden. How can I get that fixed as I am in Canada and the apple stores here do not fix 2G phones. Any suggestions?

Is it under warranty? If not you're looking at $199 for a refurbed phone through Apple Care.

I don't think I qualify for a warranty as the phone was NEVER activated.

The warranty agreement is not contingent upon activation. Go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do and find out if it's still under warranty. If it is call Apple and see what they say.
