    Default Do I need all these programs?

    I have recently jailbroken my 2.2 iPhone 3G, and in the cydia installed list I have a large number of programs that I've never installed like zip and un-zip to name a couple, are these programs essential to the running of cydia or can I remove them?

    just leave them. many of them are needed for cydia to work with packages that you download. you should switch the view of cydia to the user/graphical mode so you dont see those kinds of applications
