Default Cannot Delete E-mail after Jailbreak??

Anyone else having this problem? After i did a 2.2 jailbreak and got everything work correctly it seems that i cannot delete my e-mails. It says these e-mails cannot be moved to the trash folder. Is this something wrong with the jailbreak or is this a mail issue?

    Default Same issue

I have a previously jailbroken 2G, which was kept at 1.1.4 for a long time. I upgraded to 2.1 (restored first, of course) and re-jailbroke with no issues. A few weeks ago, I again restored and re-jailbroke the 2.2 version and that is when the inability to move email to the trash bin started.

No solutions yet, just a confirmation for the gentleman above that he is not alone and to confirm the details. Not a killer problem, but certainly inconvenient.

Thanks for the reply. I searched Cydia to see if there was a fix i could not find one. Hopefully it becomes a problem and we can get it fixed. Not a killer problem but would be nice to get it fixed. Hopefully more people will post.

    Default Try BossPrefs

Try installing BossPrefs from Cydia and then under more click "Fix User Dir Permissions"

That should work. I have had a similar problem in the past...

    Cheers....

Denied!! Did not work. Hit Fix Me and then tried to delete an e-mail and same message popped up. Thanks for the advice though.

Bump! To see if it has become a known problem or if anyone else is having the same problem and has a fix. Thanks.

strange problem. Try deleting the e-mail with your computer... Not a fix, but at least the e-mail should be gone.

Yes it can be deleted from a computer. But you know sometimes access to a computer is not always around.

    Default Try this....

So they changed some things in 2.2, like the Trash folder setting.

    Try this:
    1. Go to Settings - Mail
    2. Select the mail account
    3. Scroll to the bottom and click advanced
    4. click Deleted Mailbox
    5. Select On My iPhone - Trash

Let me know if this works...

Awesome this worked. It is weird because the trash folder was already checked. But i went ahead and tapped it again and then i went to delete an e-mail and it worked. Thanks a ton!!

Yeah it is odd, even though it appears checked, it actually isn't...seems like Apple is taking some cues from Redmond

    Glad it worked....
