Should I upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2?
I have been using an 8GB 2g Iphone on tmobile for about a 10 days. Everything works great. Should I upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2. I obviously need to keep the unlocked and jailbreak features. I have searched and have been unable to find a detailed (for a noob) guide to do this. Please post a link if you have one and forgive me If I have overlooked a previous post. Thanks.

It is easy to find if you SEARCH! Here is a link that tells it all. If you do not understand this then you should not be modding your iPhone. http://www.modmyi.com/forums/iphone-...ailbroken.html
If anything was usefull a thanks would be great!

Is there a similar guide for XP? This says OS X only.

If you don't need the phone unlocked the Windows version is as simple as getting the new Quickpwn, downloading the new firmware to your desktop, shift+restore to the new firmware and Quickpwn that bad boy. Just remember that you'll lose your jailbroken items (ie themes, etc). I tried the APT app from Cydia to save them but it didn't work. My suggestion is to make a list of what you have so you can go into Cydia and just download it all again.
