Hi everyone, i'm new to the forums so first things first,

HI!!!

ok, I recently got a iPhone 2G Locked to AT&T. Well i was able to unlock and jailbreak the phone no problem and used it for a month before the screen started a etch a sketch type thing. Returned to apple and got new iPhone 2G FW 2.1.

Well, i did these steps first.

1. Pwnage 2.1, Simple mode and Created Custom Restore
2. Follow onscreen intrutions to put into DFU mode.
3. DFU Mode Success
4. iTunes restores phone custom firmware success!
5. Bootnueter Flashes on Success!
6. Boots up pwned and runs just fine, Tmobile works.
7. Restore from back up

8!!!!!! My problems begin.

9. Phone seems to have restored back up until it rebooted. It Would come up in itunes
and iPhoto but the PwnApple would just stay, never getting to home screen after 20 mintues.

10. Restored Apple stock 2.1 Firmware DFU Mode
11. The tried to restore Custom software and right after Extracting software,
I got Error 1600.

Google it was. Restored at least a dozen times. Every error 1600. Made numerous custom restores. Deleted the Library iTunes/ Device files. Tried DFU, Recovery, Everything.
Quickpwn brought me light. It was able to Jailbreak phone after i did another Fresh OS 2.1 restore.

Well, after some time putting back my stuff, (luckily the baseband stayed untouched) I went ahead and instead of going into any type of Recovery or DFU mode, i just click restore in itunes While iPhone was in normal mode, selected custom firmware, and IT WORKED!!

So really i don't know what fixed it or did the trick.

So maybe Quickpwn was able to fix the phone, or maybe being in normal mode was able to do the trick.
