Yet another upgrade/baseband question

I'm asking this separately since all the other baseband questions I have seen were referring to phones that were previous locked. I activated my iPhone "legally" via my ATT contract, I had jailbroke the 2.1 firmware successfully and had a lot of fun modding my phone. I upgraded to 2.2 figuring there would be new jailbreaks... so once I upgraded I jailbroke via quickpwn and everything went smoothly. About a day after I jailbroke my phone all of a sudden lost service completely. I restored back to normal and my service came back. I proceeded to rejailbrake and the same exact thing happend, my phone service died after about a day. My question is, is this due to the new baseband? Again, my phone was not unlocked illegally, so I don't know if this makes a difference. My modem software reads 02.28.00 (I'm assuming this is the same as the baseband). Any suggestions/comments. I've really enjoyed this site, thanks!

Your problem sounds kinda unique. I have been running 2.2 jailbroken since it came out no problems...service fine.

I havent seen any related issue....not to say they arent there.

Thanks for the reply.. interesting. Im beginning to wonder that maybe this is pure coincidence. The last few days I've been visiting my mom and she kind of lives out in the sticks, so maybe I'm just generally getting bad service period. I'll have to keep my eye on it once I get back home to the city.

Try running 2.2 "virginized" for a couple days (unjailbroken) and see how it goes.

If you still have issues, you know its not the jailbreak...and vice versa.
