Hi, i am looking to sell an iphone 2g but i have a problem.. i recently updated to 2.2, now i believe there currently is no software to unlock the 2.2 version?

how can i downgrade the software to 2.1, so then i can jailbreak and unlock it?

When it did have firmware 2.1 on it, i jailbroke it with Pwngage for Windows, and all it did was jailbreak but not unlock.. Can somebody please tell me how i can downgrade to 2.1, and how to sucessfully unlock the iphone?

You can downgrade to 2.1 but that will not downgrade the base band that came with 2.2 so you will not be able to unlock the iphone until the Dev team comes up with a unlock software.

How do i go about downgrading to 2.1? Do i have to download some files then do a restore? Please help

I am confused, why are you trying to downgrade a 2G to 2.1 to unlock. 2.2 update doesn't update the baseband. It is still unlockable via pwnage/quickpwn.

I upgraded my 2g last night using iclarified's guide. Was done super fast and super easy. They have all the download links, search for it. I think only the 3g baseband has changed.

no need to downgrade just update-Activate-Unlock and jailbreak your 2G iphone to custom firmware 2.2 and you use it anywhere in the world.

Ok Guys, problem is i use Quickpwn to jailbreak and unlock, but when i put a different sim card in it says " Different sim detected, please connect to itunes".. i live in the Uk, and the provider is o2... How do i get around this?
