Hi Everyone,

I have a First generation 8GB Iphone, version 1.1.3 (4A93).
I bought it in the US and unlocked here in Spain. It's been working fine for many months, but recently it keeps getting stuck when receiving sms, or don't get missed calls,etc..It's really weird and I am missing very important calls. I have to restart it everytime it happens , so I end up restarting it about 20 times a day, no joke.
Please help me upgrade to latest software version. I do not have a 3G iphone and I don't need to risk getting it locked and unusable again. I just need it to behave properly.
Let me know what links within this website I have to download and sync to my iphone.
It's really urgent.
I truly appreciate your help guys !!

u said 1g phone, i assume a 2g? with 2g, is easy and u can get it unlock very easy.

i did post a step by step instruction here, but i couldn't find it.

firmware 2 is different then 1, u have app store and screen short, some new feature, with 2.2, u have google street view. its going to be a new toy to you again, lol. enjoy

Thanks for your tips I will follow them, but before here's 2 questions:

- You said quickpwn (windows), but I have a Mac Book Pro, with Leopard installed.
What link or software should I use instead considering this ?

- Also, I don't remember saying 1G anywhere in my message. It's an 8GB Iphone, and the version is specified in the message.

Please check it again and let me know what I have to do. I don't want to screw it up and end up with an unusable Iphone.
Remember it was bought in the US, unlocked in Spain, and now I have a spanish phone carrier card installed. Do I need to back up my info (contacts,etc..) first ?

I now maybe have screwed it up big time, since I need to resolve this quickly and coudln't wait.
I updated the software on my iphone, but when it restared it it asks me to pace the original sim card that I used when I bought the phone. That's a US Card. I could potentially get it, bit don't know if it helps at all.
Please tell me WHAT I have to do.

Restore to factory 2.2 with itunes and then use the iclarified guide from this link:

If you watch the video disregard the versions, but the procedure is the same.
