Is this still the best way to SSH?

I'm still trying to figure out what SSH is kind of. Is it basically a remote way to install apps onto your phone through your desktop? What do I need to know to understand how this works fully?

I found some info on ipa files so I am reading about that as well. Not sure which is best.

Also, is Cydia the best place to get apps right now? Quickpwn also installed "Installer" which to my understanding is another resource for apps but for some reason I can't find much on there at all. Should I just delete this?

installer was the king for firmware 1.x.x but now cydia taking over, and there not a lot of app on installer and u can pretty much find those on cydia.

ssh is a remote access like ftp. u can get into your file system on your iphone, change stuff around, delete, add stuff. u will need it at some point, one of the thing is using cycorder, video recorded can be access thu ssh copy the file and watch it on computer etc.

installing your ipa?? don't really understand what u asking. app store and cydia install ipa into your phone. u don't need a computer to do that.

app store install app in different directory then cydia installed in.

is up to u want to delete installer or not. i perfer keeping it, theres a few app that i could only find it on installer but thats bout it. i would keep installer, if thats bother u, just turn the icon off, if u ever need it again. turn it on.

Thanks again bud. Like the user name btw. I owned a RX7 years ago. Loved it, then my best friend wrecked it the day after we graduated high school!
