Be careful as previous 1.X versions that are not pwned cannot be pwned. You will need to remove itunes and re-install itunes 7.7.1 to do it. Use 2.0.2 ipsw file to build a custom firmware. Once the whole thing is done, then you can carry on the iclarified tutorial for 2.2

Quickpwn only jailbreaks your phone, it doesn't unlock it nor does it activate it.

u may be right, but i restore plenty of iphone, where phone is not activate, and not unlock, and quickpwn 2.1 and 2.2 can unlock and activated it. may be i misunderstand it, but i done at lot of 2g with quickpwn and it does unlock and activated it. gladly post some image and screenshot. but i wasn't trying to be rude.

and for 3g, u are right, it jailbreak only, but also activated too.
