term-vt100 is broken on 1.1.4

When I run term-vt100 it asks for Password

Its not alpine or dotty and then kicks back to user login

How can you use terminal on 1.1.4

I had an issue with VT100 also. i had to refresh the sources in the installer and then reinstall the VT100 app and it worked ok

Term-vt100 is definitely broken in 1.1.4. I have the same problem. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and it still asks for a password when I try to use it.

This is how to get Term vt100 working under 1.1.4

1# Uninstall Term if you have it already installed
2# Add www.trejan.com/irepo to your sources
3# Install "SUID Lib Fix" under "Tweeks 1.1.3"
4# Install Term vt100
5# Download termfix.zip
6# SSH into your phone copy the "termcap" file to the directory etc/ remember to backup your original file.
7# You can now enter the password "alpine" when asked.

I have the same problem. I followed steps 1 to 4 and it works, login successfully with alpine. steps 5 and 6 not necessary in my case. thanks.

FYI: I had the same issue. I installed "BSD Subsystem 2 Term Fix" and that did not work. However "SUID Lib Fix" worked like a charm and did not need steps 5 & 6.

I have IPod Touch 16G 1.1.4
and I installed "SUID Lib Fix" under "Tweeks 1.1.3"
and Term vt100 works perfect!

Yeah, all you need is that SUID Lib Fix...no need to SSH or uninstall or anything.

gfash, when you type a password, the cursor isn't supposed to move...yeah, it makes it hard to tell if you've typed anything, but makes it more secure...then no one looking over your shoulder can tell how many characters your password is =P.

I tried to install other apps, but it didn't show, so it's only a SUID lib fix installation problem...I already reinstalled the installer too...
