Ok guys and gals I'm a new user for iPhone 2g 4GB, I have been reading numerous threads here and other forums and just have a few simple questions. I currently have an iphone 2G running firmware 2.1 and it is jailbroken by QuickPwn21-1. I am thinking about upgrading to firmware 2.2 and would like to jailbreak that also so I can keep my pysl, cycorder and all the other cool 3rd party apps. My question is can someone give me a link to STEP BY STEP instructions on how to go about this. I think I know just from reading some jailbreak threads but I also want to be very sure I am going about it the correct way. Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED and if there are any thoughts on upgrading to 2.2 and jailbreaking please feel free to share. I have read some threads that make me want to stay where I am and just do with out the 2.2 firmware for a while until some kinks get worked out. Thanks a lot and this website rocks so keep up the good work

somethings like cycorder may have to be re-downloaded. but the new quickpwn will download 3rd party apps for you.

to upgrade to 2.2 follow this tutorial. it has everything that you need. Just make sure you are running iTunes 8.0.2 (the newest one)

if u did it with quickpwn 2.1, is the sameway for your iphone 2g just go look for quickpwn 2.2
