why? are u trying to downgrade, i don't know it is possible, but try make the phone to dfu mode and go down to 2.0 firm then climb back to 2.1, it may work, but who knows. i don't thing u can, the basdband stay how every u update it, unless u are updating it. so it may not work.

The reason why I need to downgrade is that the unlocked Sim has been working fine with previous baseband version which comes up with FW2.1 only.So,if you have either restored or updated to FW 2.2 WITH QuickPwn2.2 then your baseband will be updated.As a result,your unlocked sim doesn't work with the new baseband version. The best way you can do is to better restore or update by using customize fw made by Pwnage tool as I know so far. I think I don't screw your thought up.

I have not seen any successful baseband downgrades. You can downgrade the software but the baseband will stay unchanged. I do not believe there will be a fix for this. You will most likely have to buy another sim adapter if they come available.

I am in the same boat mate! I upgraded the firmware to 2.2 by mistake through iTunes and now I have no service. I use a TurboSim. This is definitely due to the change in baseband! We are just going to have to wait until someone comes up with a method or wait until the iphone-dev team come up with a new solution!

we all may be in the same boat so far if we have updated through iTune. So what I'm wondering is if I have been using the legitimate iPhone ,which is on contract and in which I use the particular sim card of carrier at the moment, then iPhone will be upgraded by using the certain method like updating via iTune then jailbreaking by QuickPwn. Do you think there are any problem with baseband and no service populated?

ok so you downgraded. so what is your baseband modem firmware then. if your baseband modem firmware is 2.28 then your still in the sameboat. sim adapter wont work. but if you used a mac or updated on a pc the right way your modem frmware is 2.11.

confirm your modem firmware 2.11 after your downgrade

My Modem Firmware Is 02.28.00.

My understanding is, i upgraded to 2.2. With my modem being the above, is it possible for me to jailbreak 2.2, i may have read it wrong, i thought you couldn't jailbreak it 2.2 if your modem is 02.28.00.

i just did use the ziphone patch but as soon as i start it goes back to recover mode than what should i do

It allows you to go back and restore to 2.1 from 2.2, it doesn't change your baseband back, that's what I've been told. if you want to go back to 1.2 make sure you have the firmware

Go into itunes (make sure your phone is connected and the iphonbe screen is up) and hold shift and click restore, (for pc, or all/control for mac) and choose the firmware you have down loaded "iPhone1,2_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw". It Should restore to 2.1. Then you can use quickpwn to re-jailbreak it...

does this really work? does this downgrade the baseband and then i would be able to use the turbo sim once again ? has anybody else done this successfully?

dude no. if your modem firmaware 2.28 stops the use of a turbo sim. now if your firware is 2.11 you are good. i will find the proper intstructions for you
