Screw QuickPwn. Need Help ASAP

I was on 2.1 fw before doing this. I used a mac to create a custom 2.1 fw and uploaded that; ran fine. So today I decided I wanted to use my home PC (I wasn't at work with the MAC) and use QuickPwn to upgrade to 2.2. I followed this guide to the fullest...

iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 2G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

I get to step 11 and then it freaking holds up on the very first step of step 11. It says "Wait for your iPhone to connect in recovery mode" just like the picture shows. Then it goes into recovery mode and won't move onto the next step on step 11 and I now can't load any firmware on it but the stock apple 2.2 firmware (unjailbroken). So now I'm stuck with a boned iPhone. I can't even restore it back to my custom 2.1 fw. WTF? HELP!!!

Doesn't anybody know what's goin' on?

sound like your phone for some reason stop communicate with quickpwn, not sure is why, but i done 7 iphone 2g with quickpwn, went perfect no problem, u would have to restore your phone, your fw most likely got mess up during quickpwn working on it. try force your phone to dfu, u can also hold power and home till computer pick up phone again, then restore your phone. with itune, then quickpwn it.( make sure your cable is good, some of the older cable have problem, if u move it just right, u lose connection. not saying thats the case but it could be. but u got to restore your fw. then either quickpwn it again, or pwnage it. i hope it help.

just download fw 2.2 quickpwn and it will tell you what to do and when to do it. you do not need a guide. you do need to upgrade though itunes first.

Quickpwn is not designed to update your iphone. It is desing to jailbrake your iphone, but you must update via iTunes and then use quickpwn. From what I understand, you are trying to use quickpwn to update when quickpwn clearly states that you must have updated your iPhone via itunes and then jailbreak with quickpwn.

Correct. You cannot run quickpwn and load the 2.2 firmware if you phone is still running the 2.1 firmware.

Nope, I updated to firmware 2.2, then used quickpwn. In the guide that I posted up there it has that as the first step. I wouldn't have been able to get as far as I did if I didn't have 2.2 running...

forget that guide. do a fresh restore to 2.2 with itunes. then open quickpwn and start clean n follow the dummie directions. they made it as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Actually I have a buddy that is having the same problem. He says he keeps running quickpwn and it's all good till it says "Waiting to detect phone in recovery" Normally it will then highlight "hold home for 5 secs" then "hold power with home" and so on. but he says his sticks before the first instruction. I have no idea what's going on with that because it works like a charm for me. Took like 3 minutes from beginning to end.

it happen to me couple times, force the phone into recovery mode at that time, becuz for some reason quickpwn couldn't triggle it. once it goes recovery mode, then your count down will begin.
