ok guys, this is tough. My iphone can't be reconized as a USB device on my computer so i can't sync wif itunes.

Tried almost everything i read here in the forum.
The problems are:

1. USB device not reconized
2. Airplane mode keeps appearing, says ' This accessory is not made for iphone'.
3. Put to DFU mode also don't seem to work.

My USB cable is working fine cos it works wif my other iphone. I've got this ver.1.1.14 trying to jailbreak ver 2.1.
The phone works fine wif all functions except can't sync wif itunes anymore. Without itunes to sync wif it's almost useless to have an iphone right?

Help is appreaciated...

Sounds like a hardware problem. Time to go to Apple.

Unless you know how to replace a flex cable yourself

huh? that bad ? I've browse thru the files and directory list and lots of them missing...etc. Cam i actually copy all the original files back into my iphone?
If yes, how?? I can access the files thru SSH.

i need little bit more info, did you update it and it fail??, which itune u are using,
there's a few step u can do before going to apple
first one, uninstall itune and also delete the apple mobile de.... blah blah blah
erase the itune folder
then go to find the early verson of itune 8. u should able to find it thu google search.
then plug your iphone in, see what happen, (u must find verson 2.1 to download, u can find it on iclarified)
depends on your 2g/3g. if u don't then it'll update to 2.2, on 2g, no problem just quick pwn it, 3g, do not use quickpwn or even update to 2.2 at all. if u want a chance to software unlock it. if it doesn't work
hold power for 5 sec(or home which ever u like) then hold home(power and home) for 10 sec, then let go power, (must let go power not home) for 30. but by 21 sec still not going to recovery, chance are, u didn't do it right. worst case hold home and power till come on, then hold home and power till it come on(must have phone plug in) u should see the icon pop up and see it said apple dev... recovery... something like that.
if it still no go, try the usb port from the back, still nothing, use a different computer. if it nothing, then be hardware problem. which very unusal, but it does happen. good luck

oh forgot about one thing, this is strange, but i find it work before, plug your phone into a stereo device, then plug it back into computer, some stereo system for iphone had cost problem with iphone plug before. it is not conform but i heard it before, and few of my customer iphone that have use bose system end up got the same message. can't say it'll work but worth a try.

thks for the info. I've tried all the above but still no luck. Actually, this is my friends iphone. I asked did he do anything to the phone, he said no? Though, i suspected he must have tried to mod some files..etc.

Is there anyway, i can replace all the files to it's original state?? How? Just copy and paste? Actually it all works fine except the annoying message of 'This accessory is not made to work with iphone' and asked to switch to airplane mode..
If i can delete this file it'll be great but i don't know where it's located.
