I'm planning on buying an iphone 3g with my christmas cash from kijiji. How would I go about unlocking the phone, heard of turbosim cards; which one is the best? After I unlock the iphone to rogers, I'd like to jailbreak it. What are the pros and cons of unlocking/jailbreaking the iphone? I've heard that if you update to the latest firmware, it will brick your iphone? How can you get around this? Is it legal to unlock the iphone then? I would much rather buy the phone itself then dish out an extra 400.00 for the early cancellation fee rogers charges; using pay as you go as I don't use my phone that often. This is biased but would you recommend the iphone as a phone to me? Also, please refer me to websites with specific information..I'm new at this, appreciate it.
