My best option?

It's been a while since I last updated my iPhone as I find it a scary progress. Ha!

Well currently I'm on 1.1.4 using iLiberty+ and I wish to unlock and jailbreak my phone safely using the best option, I know they should all be safe but why are there so many different ways to do it?

I simply want to unlock and jailbreak my phone to the latest firmware and have it the same as it is now.

So please can some pros tell me my best option for being safe and efficient?

I have a first gen iPhone running 1.1.4 unlocked on iLiberty+
I'm running Windows Vista.

The latest firmware is 2.2 and there are only 2 ways to jailbreakk an iPhone now. Quickpwn (windows and Mac) or Pwnage Tool (Mac only). Start with this:

Is 2.2 also unlockable as well as jailbroken?

For 1st generation iPhones 2.2 is jailbroken and unlocked.

Sorry is there a guide anywhere as I can't find it anywhere that says 2.2 has been unlocked for a first generation iPhone.

I can only find articles/topics that say that 2.2 for 3G is not unlockable.
