Sometime it won't even start or it will generally crash right after it launches.

*EDIT: Interesting development; I uninstalled Intelliscreen and all seems to be well with email for now.

Yep, it's IS. Go to Cydia and download the app that starts with "Backwards" or something like that. Then you can use IS again.

It is the notification icons...disable them in intelliscreen or download backwards compatibility in cydia. It lets you run the notification icons without it crashing your mail.
