So some of the jailbreakers out there want to implement restrictions on the jailbroken phones to limit what is installed and delete it automatically if it is detect. That's some of the most hypocritical and self-righteous talk I have ever heard.

A double crack huh, a cracked crack

And it's funny how people want to defend piracy in the iPhone like it's ok and compare it to other hacks for the iPhone all because they don't want to pay...losers...they always sound like : oh it's ok to jailbreak which modifies a file , that's illegal but we can't talk about apps that DL cracked apps...

so, here is a question. Is there a list somewhere of which "app stores" are exclusively legit? Yesterday was my first jb and from what I can tell, anything I download in "Rock Your Phone" and "Cydia" is legit, right? I mean, the free apps in Cydia are not cracked, just free. Can someone compile a list of some of the better "app Stores" that are 100% legit? And how to get them on my phone? Thanks

Then all these spam .99 "hot girls" apps would go out of business. I can understand someone wanting to test run an app that costs $30 before making a no-refund screwed glued and tattooed decision.
I totally pirated three different SSH/VNC clients for that very reason. I tried each of them out and then deleted them after determining that the $9.99 was perfect for me (and bought it) where the $5.99 and $24.99 ones were not. I've used this same approach for years when a fully functional trial version was not available.

If you eat a bad meal, you can choose not to go there again. If you buy a bad app, true enough, you can uninstall and rate it poorly, but it's not very practical to spend $50-$60 to review a bunch of apps to figure out which one is best for you. I can read extensive reviews of and test drive cars before buying. I can return a smaller product to the store I bought it if it just plain sucks. But I can't do that with apps.

Yes, there are sources you can add to get illegal apps but that's not something I'm allowed to say here. The free apps in Cydia and Rock are legit, only a few out of tons of apps are paid. There aren't any other "app stores" because they will mostly all have the same repositories. Just install whatever is free and it'll all be legal. The default sources are trusted and it requires adding sources to get apps that aren't legit.

I have used the apple warranty three times now, all with jailbreak'd iPhones, and the third was just processed this week. They have never even mentioned jailbreak to me and I've never paid a cent.

It still amazes me, even with a sticky, that people every day post about help with something to do with this. Maybe if we could have it in large flashing lights...nah still wouldn't keep them away.

typically the people making these post dont take the time to search for their answers. They just ask their questions.

LOL!!! That's what you call the foot in the door technique. Once he places ONE restriction, no matter how small it is, it will soon be more, and more, and more.

Then Jay will soon turn into same machine he is currently battling.

I don't like the idea of blocking it, as the whole concept of jailbreaking is to give the user the freedom to utilize any and all available technologies. By blocking the hackulo source, you're just limiting the capability of the iphone, which is what the jailbreak process was meant to combat. Look at computer software. Computer software can be easily pirated, but does that mean that we have to shut down a ton of websites just to stop it?
In general, it is easier to give up freedom than to gain it, and once you give it up, its likely gone for good.

    Yes True...
And for the last post on page one there is a law allowing jailbreaks but apple dosen't want you to so they void your warranty.

I agree! This is not acceptable and should not be allowed! It is illegal. Period.
